Combine DSST with Other Prior Learning Assessment

DSST is an effective method to provide your college with evidence of prior learning. In fact, the 38 exams available at a competitive fee compliment other credit by exam programs such as CLEP. Prior Learning Assessment will help you accelerate your path to degree completion while saving you the time it takes to sit through a course as well as the additional dollars spent on tuition.

Follow These Steps to Accelerate Your Degree

  1. Chose which exams are relevant to the degree you are pursuing or the experience you’ve had.

  2. Contact your college or university to learn about their credit awarding policy. The exams are likely delivered at your learning institution or one close by.

  3. Download a fact sheet with recommended study material here available for free in addition to a list of approved study materials by test preparation companies.

  4. Take up to 2 hours to complete a DSST exam. The exam fee is $80 and most test centers charge an additional administrative fee.

Notice on Transcript Fee Increase

Please note that the Transcript Request Fee will be raised from $20 to $30, starting on April 5, 2010.  More information...

Imagine cutting months off your degree completion requirements in practically no time at all. ...Or checking off a few elective credits in just one weekend.
